TEACHING
Ric has come to enjoy teaching in the last 15 years and instructs in voice technique, voice-overs and singing.
Voice Technique: Realising that people (including performers) have very little idea about their vocal instrument,
Ric developed a voice technique course called 7 STEPS TO YOUR WONDERFUL VOICE. He continues to teach privately and has taught 3 consecutive terms at the Brent St Academy. From beginners to professionals, Ric’s technique has helped iron out problems in addition to setting up an understanding and confidence for working voices artists.
Voice Overs: Ric teaches the art of voice overs and studio technique privately from his home studio in North Bondi
as well as for NIDA and AFTRS. He has given master classes for MEAA (Actor’s Equity) and Short and Sweet. Many people have benefitted from his understanding and insights. Some have gone on to fine careers in the voice industry.
Workshops: Ric has created programs for community, school and corporate workshops. Combining voice technique and singing he has brought understanding and confidence to groups of 6-20. It's incredibly powerful when your team learns to work together in harmony.
Singing: Singing is a passionate journey of the spirit. To improve this ability is a gift to the soul. Ric teaches privately, at Brent St Academy and at Live to Sing. From contemporary to musical theatre, children to adults, beginners to pro's, preparing for auditions/performances, or just for the love of it, singing is your right… enjoy it.
